Eminem’s “8 Mile” film will have a special screening at Detroit’s Bel Air Luxury Cinema on November 8th – 15 years to the day after the film bowed in the U.S.
Bel Air, then the Phoenix Theatre, hosted the movie’s Detroit premiere back on November 7th, 2002, that featured Eminem and director Curtis Hanson. As of this writing, there is no word if Eminem will make an appearance at the show, but he’s donating all ticket proceeds to the Verses Project, a literacy endeavor by Detroit’s Community Music School and Michigan State University previously supported by the rapper. Money will also be raised that night with special Shady Records concession packages.
The showing will take place at 7PM at Bel Air, 10100 E. 8 Mile, Detroit. Tickets are $8 and go
on sale at noon Wednesday at ShadyRecords.com and the Bel Air website.
